It s important that they don t spend too much time on the computer though. Print off the worksheets, quizzes or whatever the software produces when possible. Sitting in front of a screen for lengthy periods of time actually retards learning. It also results in a 'glazed' look on their faces (yours too!) and can make your kids a bit cranky. But don't let this put you off using good quality software - it can do what no other resource can.

With multimedia software its power will only be visible on-screen. Make good use of these fantastic resources but be careful to use them for short periods of time.
