Home SAT School:
SAT stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test. The purpose of a SAT test is to give colleges a common ground to assess a student s general ability regardless of the school they attended or if they have been homeschooled.
The test measures Math and Verbal aptitude (so much for general ability) and is scored out of 1600 &800 for each section. Ivy League colleges look for SAT scores of 1350 or higher, competitive schools look for 1100, whereas most state universities look for a minimum of 1000.
It s always a good idea to get help and advice from someone who has done the test but also, if you can find one, someone who has experience of preparing students for the test &their advice could prove invaluable.
When home schooling, however, you may need to rely on dependable resources for SAT preparation. There are many resources available &at widely different costs to you. An excellent resource for your
